WayMux: headless GPU Linux desktops for AI agents
WayMux turns a cloud GPU instance into a real, programmable Linux desktop: a headless Plasma 6 session (actual kwin_wayland, real desktop apps, GPU rendering, no one logged in) driven by code or AI agents through a Python SDK and an MCP server. As far as I can find, it's the first productized headless KDE/Wayland runtime, and no public service combines headless GPU desktops, native 60 fps recording, and a session API; recording is compositor-native with a lossless 4:4:4 path, pixel-exact evidence of everything an agent saw and did. Proof it's real: Portal runs headless at 59.7 FPS through Steam, Proton, DXVK, and Vulkan explicit-sync, and the same binary validated cross-vendor on an NVIDIA Blackwell for $1.50 of GPU rental. It's useful anywhere software needs a desktop with nobody at the keyboard: agents that need more than a browser, Wayland-native CI, auditable agent sessions where the recording is the proof.
